National Institute of Technical Teachers' Training & Research (NITTTR), Kolkata was established in 1965 is one of the four key institutions set up by Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India to pioneer the development of Technical education system in India. The Govt. of India, in 2003, accorded national status to the institute. The focal activities of the institute are Education & Short-term Training, Curriculum Development, Learning Resources Development, Research & Development and Extension Services & Consultancy.
