The Bose Institute Kolkata was founded by Acharya Jagdish Chandra Bose in 1917. It is an autonomous institute. Bose Institute is one of the premier Scientific Research Institutes in India. It is fully funded by the Department of Science & Technology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India.
