RECRUITMENT OF LOWER DIVISION CLERKS BY UGC

The University Grant Commission [UGC] was formally established in November 1956 with its headquarters in Delhi, as a statutory body of the Government of India through an Act of Parliament for the coordination, determination and maintenance of standards of university education in India. The UGC has the unique distinction of being the only grant-giving agency in the country which has been entrusted with responsibilities of providing funds to the institutions. In order to ensure effective region-wise coverage throughout the country, the UGC has decentralised its operations by setting up six regional centers at Pune, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Bhopal, Guwahati and Bangalore.

Applications are invited by The University Grant Commission from suitable candidates for the post of lower division clerks.

Post: Lower Division Clerks (100 Vacancies)

Qualification: Matriculation or higher examination from recognized board/ university.

Age limit: 18-25 years (as on 01/01/13).      **Relaxation in upper age limit for reserved categories are as per central government norms.

Application Fee: Rs.300/- for General categories and Rs.200/- for OBC. There is no fee for SC/ ST/ PH/ Female candidates.

Place Of Posting: Anywhere in India.
