Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan [NYKS] was set up during 1987-88. It is an autonomous organization under the Government of India, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan has established a network of youth clubs in villages, where Nehru Yuva Kendras have been set up. Youth Clubs are composed of youth members ranging between the age group of 13-35 years. The basic objective for creation of youth clubs is to render community support through developmental initiatives involving activities with particular focus on youth empowerment.
Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan intends to fill 45 posts of District Youth Coordinator (DYC) by direct recruitment basis.
