Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel University of Agriculture and Technology was established in October 2000 under Uttar Pradesh Agriculture University Act (revised) 1958. It is recognized and funded by Uttar Pradesh Govt. & ICAR, Gov. of India. It is committed to a unique mandate of integrating education research and extension so as to serve the rural people. The university I also recognized by University Grant Commission. The total area of the university is 262 hectare in which crop research center is in 42.5 hectare, HRC in 21.25 hectare and LRC in 6.5 hectare and in rest area under buildings and roads.
