National Institute of Technical Teachers' Training & Research (NITTTR), Kolkata was established in 1965 (formerly Technical Teachers' Training Institute, Calcutta) is one of the four key institution set up by Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India to pioneer the development of Technical education system in India. The Govt. of India, in 2003, accorded national status to the institute.
